ARETE supports the implementation of sustainable farm-to-fork strategies across the Balkans.
We develop projects aimed at making food systems fair, healthy and environmentally-friendly. We team up with local farms, businesses and local governments in developing farm-to-fork eco-systems.
We stimulate the creation of sustainable food chains which connect local farms and producers (wineries, breweries, fisheries and other types of food producers) with restaurants and shops.
We work with IT start-ups on innovative strategies for mapping “food traceability”, introducing incentives and ‘rewarding’ positive behaviors.
