
Marija Adela Gjorgjioska, PhD
Director
Adela is founder and Director of ARETE. She is a social scientist, with an international and interdisciplinary career. She has worked in med-tech innovation, international development and academia (in the United Kingdom, Italy and Macedonia). She has a doctoral degree in Social Psychology and masters degrees in International Development Management and Conflict Studies.

Ana Tomičić, PhD
Program Director
Ana is a social anthropologist and social psychologist focusing on the interplay of technology and sustainability. Before joining ARETE, she worked at the Institute for Global Prosperity (UCL) as a postdoctoral research associate, and on interdisciplinary projects at the Sapienza University of Rome, the University of Geneva, and Masaryk University. She is based in Zagreb.

Klimentina Gjorgjioska
Communication Manager
Klimentina is a Communication Manager at ARETE with five years of EU project management experience. Previously, she managed housing, education, and social rights projects at COSV. She has an MA in Policy Studies and a BA in Political Sciences from Aristotle University. She’s now pursuing a master’s in marketing management, specializing in cross-cultural project skills.

Simona Kabranova
FEAST Project Assistant
Simona is a student at the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Food at Saint Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, majoring in Plant Protection – Phytomedicine. She is passionate about working with people, personal development, ecology and improving everyday life through activism.

Amar Darwish
FEAST Project Assistant
Amar is a culturally diverse individual, having lived in France, Lebanon, and currently Croatia. He holds a master’s degree in neuroscience and biotechnology and has a second master’s in agriculture, environment, and resource management. His goal is to merge these fields to drive meaningful action for both land and communities.
