We’re excited to share that ARETE Institute for Sustainable Prosperity is collaborating with HTTPS on a new research project:
Sustainable Food Systems: EU Policies, China’s Approaches, and Pathways for China-CEE Cooperation
🌱 What’s the project about?
This research explores how AI, digital technologies, and policy frameworks shape sustainable food systems in Europe, China, and Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). By comparing the EU’s Farm to Fork Strategy and China’s food sustainability initiatives, we aim to identify best practices and pathways for cooperation in the CEE region.
🔎 Key questions we’re tackling:
✅ How do the EU and China promote food sustainability, and where do their approaches align or differ?
✅ What role can AI and digital traceability systems play in making food systems more transparent and resilient?
✅ How can China and CEE countries collaborate more effectively on food security and sustainability?
💡 Why does this matter?
From climate change to trade dependencies, food systems are at the center of global sustainability challenges. Our project aims to bridge policy gaps, highlight innovative solutions, and support evidence-based decision-making for a more resilient and equitable food future.
